Use of Google Analytics with anonymisation
Our site uses Google Analytics, a Web analysis service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computed and enable an analysis of how you use the website. We have concluded a corresponding contract regarding the processing of the data with the provider. Your IP address is collected but immediately pseudonymised (e.g. by deleting the last 8 bits). This only enables a general localisation. The data processing is conducted in accordance with the legal provisions of § 96 para 3 Austrian Telecommunications Act as well as of Art. 6 para 1 lit a (Consent) and/or f (Legitimate interest) GDPR.
Our legitimate interest according to the meaning of the GDPR is the improvement of our offering and of our web presence. Because our users’ privacy is important to us, user data is pseudonymised [Pseudonymisation is recommended with the “legitimate interest” legal argument; this needs to be settled with the Web analysis service]. User data is stored for a period of 50 months.
You can prevent this by configuring your browser not to accept cookies. Google also provides a deactivation option for the most commonly used browsers that gives you more control over what information is collected and processed by Google. If you activate this option, no information about your visit to the website is transmitted to Google Analytics. However, activation does not prevent information from being transmitted to us or to other web analysis services used by us. Additional information on the deactivation option provided by Google as well as on the activation of this option can be found at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

When you call up a page that contains an embedded video, a connection is generated to the YouTube servers, allowing the content to be displayed on the Internet page through your browser. According to YouTube, in the “expanded privacy mode” information, in particular which of our websites you visited, is only transmitted to the YouTube servers when you watch the video. If you are simultaneously logged on to YouTube, this information is assigned to your member account with YouTube. You can prevent this by logging out of your member account before visiting our website.
